Canecutters Kitchen & The Sugar Country Motor Inn are located close to the Central Business District of Bundaberg, on the corner of Bourbong and Burrum Streets.

It is an ideal location for conferences, weddings, parties, or group meetings with affordable accommodation for your clients or guests. Our friendly, professional team will bring your vision to life while you relax and enjoy a delicious experience with family and friends.

The following information is a general outline of our facilities and catering menus, we are more than happy to discuss different packages with you to tailor fit your needs.

All booking enquiries for functions & business seminars will be handled by our professional staff who will be pleased to assist you with menu section and advice regarding the entire event.

We love entertaining and will take any opportunity to do so. If you already have a space picked out, we're happy to host. If it's important to you, it's important to us. We'll work to make it perfect.

Cocktail Platters

Assorted Sandwich Platter  $50 (approx. 10 ppl)                      

White, wholemeal and multigrain breads with a range of fillings including, egg, lettuce and mayo, salmon, dill cream fraiche and Spanish onion, chicken, tomato and basil pesto, cheese tomato and basil pesto, ham, cheese and tomato, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, and relish, sliced beef, mustard pickles and tomato etc.

Cold Quiche Platter $60 (approx. 10 ppl) 

Assorted fillings including creamy bacon, basil and cherry tomato, chicken and roast pumpkin, capsicum and fetta.

Assorted plain and fruit scones with butter, jam and cream

An assorted selection of mixed mini muffins, slices, petite cakes, and tartlets

An assortment of cold cuts including ham, roast beef, chicken breast, along with sliced and soft cheese, sundried tomatoes, pickles, onions, and toasted ciabatta bread slices

Hot Platter 1 $75 (approx. 10ppl)                             

Petite pies and sausage rolls, mini vegetable spring rolls, mini beef and chicken dim sims, flame grilled meat balls, marinated chicken nibbles and appropriate dipping sauces

Hot Platter 2 $100  (approx. 10ppl)                               

Tempura prawns, salt and pepper squid pieces, crumbed fish bites, prawn toasts, marinated scallop’s brochettes.

  • Small buffet selection choice 1 roast and 1 wet dish with sides, (roast beef/chicken and 2 veg, 1 wet dish (stroganoff/curry with rice or stir fry vegetables and noodles or a pasta dish, alternatives can be discussed) 
  • Choose 1 - Caesar salad, garden salad, Greek salad, rainbow coleslaw, rocket and baby beet salad, zesty cous cous salad

  • Mustard and garlic rubbed beef roast with classic roast vegetables and drizzled with port wine jus
  • Pan seared fillet of barramundi, served with petite garden salad, hand cut potato fries and topped with roundel of tartare butter

Dessert

  • Chocolate and raspberry brownie, with dark chocolate sauce and wild berry compote
  • Honey and white chocolate panna cotta with chocolate shards and macadamia praline
  • Apple and rhubarb crumble cake, with brandy anglaise and creamy vanilla ice cream.
